Ricky Nobile will be signing his book, Home Grown, Home Drawn! 45 Years of Mississippi Editorial Cartoons, on Friday, December, 16th from 3:00-5:00.

from the over 4500 he has drawn since 1971 that have appeared in over 35 Mississippi newspapers, including our own Sea Coast Echo.

The book takes one on a historical journey of Mississippi politics from the 1970s to 2016 and covers all 9 Governors that fall between that period, as well as senators and representatives. Some of the sports cartoons Nobile penned for Athlon Sports on the Manning family and Brett

Favre also appear in the book. 

Nobile currently draws 4 cartoons a week, two for his Mississippi newspaper syndicate, one for The Mississippi Business Journal, and

one for his local paper, The Hattiesburg Post, as well he provides caricature drawing entertainment for weddings, conventions, parties and other events. His cartoons have been featured in The Harvard Political Review, Best Editorial Cartoons of the Year, and the McCain Library Special Collections on the USM Campus. Nobile has been member of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists since 1976
